The multilevel approach of RIS3, through the COHES3ION project

ADR Nord-Vest organized on Thursday, November 14, 2019, the first meeting of the Regional Committee of Representatives within the project COHESION  – “Integrating the territorial dimension to ensure the cohesion of the Smart Specialization Strategy (S3)”, financed from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Territorial Cooperation Program Interreg Europe 2014-2020.

The event was attended by representatives of the Executive Unit for the Financing of Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation (UEFISCDI), local public administrations, universities, research institutes, clusters and science and technology parks, from the North-West Region. 

All these organizations have committed to take part in the project's activities in terms of identifying good practices and contribute to the development of the regional action plan to ensure the multilevel implementation of the Smart Specialization Strategy (RIS3) in the North-West Region.

During the event, the objectives and activities of the COHES3ION project and the role of the Regional Committee of Representatives were presented, examples of good practices proposed at the first meeting of the project, which took place at Bilbao (SPAIN).

In the next period, the project's activities will consist of identifying examples of success from the North-West Region and from the project's partner regions, within the study visits that will be organized.

The project brings together 10 partners from 8 countries of the European Union: SPAIN (project coordinator), IRELAND, ITALY, GERMANY, SWEDEN, POLAND, ROMANIA and GREAT BRITAIN.
