The 3rd edition of "Maramureş Days" - an event organized by the Maramureş County Council - will take place between 18-23 May 2017. The event aims to capitalize and promote the cultural identity of Maramureş, its material and spiritual values, through a series of actions carried out both in Baia Mare and in several localities in the county. All the cultural institutions subordinated to the Maramureş County Council will be engaged in the manifestation, by organizing exhibitions and openings, symposia and seminars, the program being a broad and diversified one.

Thursday, May 18
The County Museum of Mineralogy "Victor Gorduza" Baia Mare will present, under the aegis of "Donations and recent mineral acquisitions", the new showcases with mine flowers, opening that will take place from 13.00.
From 2:00 p.m., at the "Petre Dulfu" County Library, photographer Victor Mihalca invites you to "Step through Maramureș", and from 3:00 p.m., the photo opening "Small houses from Maramureș" by the photographer Mihai Grigorescu from Baimăra will take place here. The last action of Thursday, May 18, 2017 will be the "Urban Guilds and Crafts" opening, at the Butchers' Bastion in Baia Mare, starting at 6:00 p.m.

Friday, May 19
On Friday, May 19, from 9:00 a.m., the 3rd edition of the national scientific symposium "National Heritage of Romania" will be held at the County Museum of Mineralogy.
Between 10.00 and 20.00 there will be fairs, festivals and exhibitions of traditional products, interactive craft workshops.
The festive meeting of the Maramureș County Council will take place at 10:30 a.m., in the "Bogdan Vodă" Hall, after which, from 12:00 p.m., the Popular Harbor Parade will take place.
The official opening of the "Maramureș Days - Come on, let's go to Maramureș" event was set for 1:00 p.m., at the County Museum of Ethnography and Folk Art. Also here, starting at 14:00, "Game in the village" will take place, as well as the launch of the book "Academic elite in the political prison of Sighet: 1950-1955".
From 4:00 p.m., the "Visit Maramureș" application will be presented, as well as the vision of the Maramureș County Council regarding the tourism development strategy of the county.
Starting at 19.00 there will be a visit to the Șuior mountain resort, Cota 1000, followed by a traditional dinner and a bonfire in the open air.

Saturday, May 20
On Saturday, May 20, in addition to fairs, festivals and exhibitions, the exhibition opening "Ethnic interference in the traditional port of Maramureș" will take place at the County Museum of Ethnography and Folk Art, followed, from 12.00, by the scientific symposium with the theme "National Day of Traditional Costume from Romania", 2nd edition.
At 11:00 a.m., the football match between the teams of Glorii Maramuresene and Glorii Sătmărene will begin at the "Viorel Mateianu" Municipal Stadium.
In the calendar of the "Maramureș Days - Come on, let's go to Maramureș" event, the inter-county festival for children "Proud flower from Iza", the 27th edition, will take place in Șieu, starting at 1:00 p.m., as well as the show "De on Lăpuşe plaiuri", scheduled for 3:00 p.m., at the "Vasile Grigore Latiș" House of Culture in Târgu Lăpuș.
Another large-scale event will be the "Maramureș Air Show" aviation rally, which will take place between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., at Baia Mare International Airport, followed, from 5:00 p.m., by the Smiley/ Adrian Sînă/ Lidia Buble concert.
The Ambassadors' Gala will start at 8:30 p.m., and during the event, the titles of "Maramureşian Tourism Ambassadors" will be awarded to personalities from various fields of activity.

Sunday, May 21
From the cycle of events that will take place on Sunday, May 21, 2017, we can mention the inter-county competition festival "Mândru-i danțu pe la noi", the 7th edition, which will take place in Recea, starting at 12.00. From 6:00 p.m., the "Traditional Wedding Festival" will take place at the Moroșeni Party House in Oncești commune.

Monday, May 22
Monday, May 22, 2017, and Tuesday, May 23, starting at 11:00 a.m., at the Maramureș County Museum of History and Archeology, the round tables will take place: "Archaeology and historical reconstruction". The medieval city of Baia Mare" and "Photography - historical document. The Suba Zoltan Collection".
On Monday, starting at 3:00 p.m., at the Baia Mare County Museum of Ethnography and Folk Art, "Nord Literar" Magazine will present the symposium "Maramureș - history, culture, literature. Personalities of the literature of Maramureș", and from 17:00, the county Center for the Conservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture will organize an ethnological film evening.

Tuesday, May 23
The Baia Mare Astronomical Complex will present the "Traditional Romanian Constellation Days" event on Tuesday, May 23, from 11:00 a.m. From 1:00 p.m., at the "Petre Dulfu" County Library, the debate "Maramureșul and the Romanian Academy" will take place, while from 3:00 p.m., the "Victor Gorduza" County Museum of Mineralogy in collaboration with the Paleontology and Stratigraphy Museum of the University" Babeș-Bolyai" from Cluj Napoca presents the exhibition opening "Mesozoic fossils from the seas of Transylvania".
