The NEPTUNE project – a European and regional success

The year 2017 marked the implementation, for the first time in Romania, of an innovation and entrepreneurship voucher scheme within a Horizon 2020 project in the category INNOSUP – Cluster facilitated projects for new industrial value chains.

It's about the project NEPTUNE, Accelerator of innovative solutions for blue industries, successfully implemented by ADR North-West in the region, within a large European consortium, through which innovation vouchers in the amount of 2.8 million euros were granted to 72 SMEs from 7 countries, in order to develop innovative solutions in within 41 projects. The complete list of voucher beneficiaries can be found here.

Following the two funding calls concluded in the spring and autumn of 2017, 6 member companies of the cluster CLAMP managed to attract in the North-West Region a total funding of 287,500 euros, within 4 collaborative projects through which they will develop innovative solutions in the field of the environment and wastewater treatment, until next year in October.

Details about the results of our actions and related funding and business opportunities can be found in the second newsletter of the NEPTUNE project:

As a crowning of the success brought forward with the implementation at European level of this type of project, which allows the direct granting, on a competitive basis, of non-refundable financial assistance to companies in a certain field, ADR Nord-West will initiate from the year future a second project of this type, this time dedicated to the circular economy and enterprises in the manufacturing industry and in the field of health.
