EMOBICITY, a project to promote electric mobility in the North-West Region

Today, November 28, 2019, ADR Northwest organized the first meeting of the Regional Committee of Representatives within the project EMOBICITY'' Increasing energy efficiency by promoting electric mobility in cities''(Increase of energy efficiency by ELectra mobilelity in the CITY) financed from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Territorial Cooperation Program INTERREG Europe 2014-2020.

The event was attended by representatives from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, local public administrations, the Cluj Public Transport Company, Cluj IT Cluster, the Cluj Environmental Protection Agency and the Intercommunity Development Associations from Cluj and Oradea. 

All these organizations have committed to take part in the project's activities by identifying good practices that will contribute to the elaboration of the Regional Action Plan for the promotion of electric mobility in the cities of the North-West Region.

During the event, the objectives and activities of the EMOBICITY project and the role of the Regional Committee of Representatives were highlighted, as well as examples of good practices presented at the first meeting of the project, which took place in Athens.

In the next period, the project's activities will consist of identifying examples of success from the North-West Region and from the project's partner regions, within the study visits that will be organized.

The project brings together 6 partners from 5 European Union countries: GREECE (project coordinator I), GERMANY, CROATIA, PORTUGAL, and ROMANIA.
