Non-refundable and direct financial aid of 100% for SMEs in the blue industries of Northern Transylvania

The North-West Regional Development Agency, partner in the NEPTUNE project, is launching Scheme of vouchers and support services for innovation and entrepreneurship, which addresses micro-enterprises, small and medium enterprises as well as future entrepreneurs. The total budget allocated for the North-West Region is 270,000 euros.  

Vouchers are a way to provide direct and non-refundable financial support 100%, the amounts being between 5,000 – 60,000 euros, to SMEs and future entrepreneurs from Northern Transylvania.

Thus, they will have the opportunity to benefit from the full coverage of the costs for intellectual property services, legal consultancy and assistance with a view to certification, technological development of a product or process, development of ITC solutions, technological transfer, prototyping, services and documentation for internationalization, incubation and support services for entrepreneurship.

Applications can be submitted individually or in partnership with companies from NEPTUNE regions, by SMEs and future entrepreneurs from fields such as ITC, energy, environment, agriculture, water, who through their activity can contribute to the development of the sectors:

  • Management of water resources in the urban and rural environment
  • Port logistics, sea and river transport
  • Environment and hydroelectric renewable energy.

There are two deadlines for submitting the online application: March 15, 2017 and September 15, 2017. The submitted projects will have the maximum completion date of October 2018.

The objective of the NEPTUNE voucher scheme is to support innovation, entrepreneurship and cross-border collaborations in blue industries in the partner regions: North-West Region (RO), New Aquitaine, Occitania and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (FR), Attica and Greece from West (GR), Lombardy (IT), Basque Country and Catalonia (SP), Poland and Sweden. A package of support services for innovation, internationalization and entrepreneurship, provided by NEPTUNE partners, is also available within the funding call.

The NEPTUNE project, financed by the Horizon 2020 research-development-innovation program of the European Commission, has a budget of 4.1 million euros at the level of the 11 partners, of which 75% is dedicated to the direct support of SMEs through the voucher scheme and through support services provided by partners.
