Open Innovation 2.0 in Cluj-Napoca!

Between June 10-14, 2017, Cluj-Napoca will host a series of events within the "Open Innovation 2.0" 2017 Conference, organized by DG CONNECT - European Commission, the Committee of the Regions, Cluj-Napoca City Hall and ARIES Transilvania. According to the organizers, it is the first time that these events are organized simultaneously in the same European city, Cluj being considered as a promising center for development based on the principles of open innovation.

They will start with an innovative Dialogue, on June 10-11, 2017, which will have four challenges, assumed by each of the organizers, in which around 60 international and local experts will participate, in an attempt to find solutions to the problems proposed to be solved.

On June 12, 2017, the Committee of the Regions will organize a townhall debate, attended by Mr. Markku Markkula, president of the Committee of the Regions, Romanian MEP Daniel Buda and mayor Emil Boc.

In the June 13-14, 2017 the Open Innovation 2.0 Conference will be held, the general theme of which is "industrial and societal transformation through digital technologies, with a focus on Innovative Digital Hubs and open innovation ecosystems". During the event, examples of best practices from an operational and strategic level with the highest potential to achieve a positive and innovative impact for industries and society will be presented, organizational details as well as the preliminary program will be sent to you during May 2017 .

During the conference, ADR North-West, through the North Transylvania Direct Europe Center, will organize an innovative financing workshop!

The main objective of this year's edition of the "Open Innovation 2.0" Conference focuses on success stories, as well as the promotion of collaborative projects between different actors of the regional and local innovation ecosystem. Thus, all parties involved will focus to lay the foundations for future innovation policies and establish concrete actions in the next period for sustainable development.

More than 400 participants are expected at the event: political decision-makers, specialists in the field of innovation, clusters from all fields of activity, companies from all over Europe, as well as other actors interested in this topic.
