Today, August 3, 2020, it is relaunching Voucher scheme for the adoption of circular economy solutions within the project C-Voucher, scheme having allocated a budget of 360,000 euros at the European level. Funding is provided by the program to stimulate research and innovation, Horizon 2020.

The funding call is addressed to small and medium-sized enterprises, including micro-enterprises, which intend to develop and adopt circular economy solutions in their own business. The circular economy is a model of production and consumption that involves sharing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products as much as possible. Companies from the manufacturing, agri-food, textile, health and water industries are mainly targeted.

Following the selection of projects 24 companies from Europe will be included for 3 months in one Acceleration Program, in order developing a business plan to document the circular solution at the company level.

The program will consist of:

  • Awarding a voucher of 15,000 euros in the form of a non-refundable grant for the development of the circular economy plan;
  • Assistance from a dedicated expert to identify circular solutions;
  • Mentoring in business and access to subsequent financing for the implementation of the solution, through assistance provided by accelerators in Spain and France.

Applications/Projects are submitted online, by October 30, 2020, by completing in English the information related to the current business situation and the industry in which the company operates, the need for development, the proposed solution, its degree of innovation and internationalization potential.

The targeted solutions can be diverse, such as optimizing the flow of production or services, incorporating biodegradable materials or extending the life cycle of products, reducing, recycling or reusing the waste generated, adopting digital solutions that contribute to resource efficiency, aligning with environmental standards and at the same time changing the business administration model, from linear to circular.
