An oasis of peace lies in the yard and surroundings of Calvaria Church, located in Satu Mare within the old Castrum-Zothmar Citadel. Originally built in 1844 in the Neo-Gothic style, this is one of the oldest churches in the area. However, due to the sand at its base, the foundation gave way and the walls collapsed over time, which is why the church was completely rebuilt between 1908-1909.
