The event brought together signatories and high-level representatives from the Government of Romania, the European Parliament, the European Commission, the World Bank, Ukrainian authorities, diplomatic missions, as well as religious and local leaders.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1074\" data-end=\"1226\">The protocol establishes a cross-border cooperation framework with tangible and balanced benefits for both Romania and Ukraine. Key focus areas include:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1228\" data-end=\"1737\">\n<li data-start=\"1228\" data-end=\"1344\">\n<p data-start=\"1230\" data-end=\"1344\"><strong data-start=\"1230\" data-end=\"1274\">Modernising road and rail infrastructure<\/strong> on both sides of the Tisa River to enhance cross-border connectivity;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1345\" data-end=\"1475\">\n<p data-start=\"1347\" data-end=\"1475\"><strong data-start=\"1347\" data-end=\"1386\">Direct involvement of Romanian SMEs<\/strong> in delivering materials, services, and expertise for reconstruction projects in Ukraine;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1476\" data-end=\"1604\">\n<p data-start=\"1478\" data-end=\"1604\"><strong data-start=\"1478\" data-end=\"1517\">Attracting international investment<\/strong> into Romanian counties by developing logistics centres, offices, and industrial parks;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1605\" data-end=\"1737\">\n<p data-start=\"1607\" data-end=\"1737\"><strong data-start=\"1607\" data-end=\"1659\">Financing all initiatives through EU instruments<\/strong> dedicated to cooperation and reconstruction, without impacting local budgets.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1739\" data-end=\"1766\"><strong data-start=\"1739\" data-end=\"1766\">Signatory institutions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1767\" data-end=\"1999\">\n<li data-start=\"1767\" data-end=\"1909\">\n<p data-start=\"1769\" data-end=\"1909\">The County Councils of: <strong data-start=\"1793\" data-end=\"1893\">Maramure\u0219, Bihor, Bistri\u021ba-N\u0103s\u0103ud, Cluj, Satu Mare, S\u0103laj, Bac\u0103u, Boto\u0219ani, Ia\u0219i, Neam\u021b, Suceava<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"1899\" data-end=\"1909\">Vaslui<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1910\" data-end=\"1954\">\n<p data-start=\"1912\" data-end=\"1954\"><strong data-start=\"1912\" data-end=\"1954\">North-West Regional Development Agency<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1955\" data-end=\"1999\">\n<p data-start=\"1957\" data-end=\"1999\"><strong data-start=\"1957\" data-end=\"1999\">North-East Regional Development Agency<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2001\" data-end=\"2123\">The event was hosted and moderated by <strong data-start=\"2039\" data-end=\"2056\">Gabriel Zetea<\/strong>, President of the Maramure\u0219 County Council.
