The Regional Development Board
It is the deliberative organism that coordinates the entire regional development process in the North-West Development Region.
Structure
The Regional Development Board is composed by the presidents of the county councils of the 6 counties in the region and of one representative of each local municipal, town and communal council, appointed from each county, throughout the mandate.
The Regional Development Board is chaired by a president and a vice-president. These functions are fulfilled, by turns, for a 1 year mandate.
The Regional Development Board adopts its own functioning regulation, based on the frame-regulation made by the Romanian Government.
Attributions
The Regional Development Board of the North-West Development Region has the following main attributions:
* It analyses and decides upon the strategy and the regional development programmes;
* It approves the regional development programmes;
* It presents to the National Regional Development Board proposals regarding the creation of the Regional Development Fund;
* It approves the criteria, the priorities, the assignment and the destinations of the resources from the Regional Development Fund;
* It follows the utilization of the funds assigned to the North-West RDA from the National Regional Development Fund;
* It follows the respect of the regional objectives.
In exercising its attributions, the Regional Development Board makes decisions.
