Partnerships with regions
The North-West RDA developed and continues to develop several partnerships with European regions: Lazio, Veneto, Puglia, Sicily (Italy), Auvergne (France).
The North-West RDA has signed collaboration agreements with:
* Veneto, Sicily, Lazio Regions (Italy)
* Northern Stateline (Illinois, SUA)
* Auvergne Region (France)
The collaboration agreement between the North-West Region and Veneto Region
On November 27 2006, at the headquarters of the County Council, the representatives of the North-West Development Region (Romania) and the representative of Veneto Region (Italy) signed the Collaboration Agreement. The presidents of the six county councils in our region (Bihor, Bistrita-Nasaud, Cluj, Maramures, Satu Mare and Salaj) and the Economic Policies Assessor (Minister), Fabio Gava on behalf of Veneto Region, signed this important document – the first of this kind adopted by all the counties of the North-West Region (Northern Transylvania).
The two partner regions engage to sustain and promote initiatives meant to favour the collaboration in the following fields of interest:
· Promotion and development of the relationships between the research centers, for information and experience exchange in the field of scientific research and technological innovation;
· Information and experience exchange in the field of production activities, especially in the sector of small and medium enterprises;
· Information and experience exchange in the field of professional and managerial training;
· Information and experience exchange in the field of infrastructure and in that of transportation services.
COOPERATION PROTOCOL between BIHOR, BISTRITA-NASAUD, CLUJ, MARAMURES, SATU MARE and SALAJ COUNTIES, which make up the NORTH-WEST REGION (Romania) and the NORTH GREAT PLAIN REGION (Hungary)
with the objective of encouraging the cooperation on the political, economic, social and cultural level between the North-West Region from Romania and the North Great Plain Region from Hungary. This protocol represents the embodiment of the common commitment to promote partnership and the agreement for mutual benefits. The parts have agreed to develop a common environment of contact and cooperation, oriented towards:
* Tourism
* Environmental protection
* Agriculture and Rural Development
* Development of Human Resources
* Economy and Development of the Business Environment
* Research – Development - Innovation
* Accessibility and infrastructure
* Culture and sport
* Institutional cooperation
* Structural funds and project management
